SAPPHIRE SOFTWARE
The wireless LAN network is analyzed by two software applications: Sapphire Workstation and Sapphire Sonar. The Sapphire System allows the network manager to proactively manage and allocate capacity in the network for all the critical applications in order to guarantee optimal connectivity for all users.
Sapphire Workstation provides the 7signal User Interface and reports.
- Linux-based software
- Support for up to 200 WLAN Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Predefined test profiles and easy to configure customized profiles
- Encrypted data connections to Sapphire Eye stations
- Database Management System (DBMS) for the real-time and historical performance measurements
- Open interfaces for external systems and protocols such as ODBC and SNMP
- Graphical user interface
- Sapphire Eye configuration, management and maintenance
- Real time alarm window
- Remote capability for user-initiated Sapphire Eye tests
- Remote Sapphire Eye software upgrade
- Password protected user accounts with custom access rights
- Automated reports and alarm forwarding configuration
- Service Level Agreement (SLA) configuration
- Network topology view
Sapphire Sonar uniquely allows measurement of true application quality through the wireless and fixed network in real-time. Sapphire Sonar is the test counterpart software agent that enables true end-to-end performance verifications.
- Linux-based software
- Installed close to the end-user application server or, if remotely hosted, to the location of Sapphire Workstation Server SW
- Supports all the measurements required by the Sapphire Workstation software and Sapphire Eye units, including FTP, ICMP, PSQA VoIP MOS, packet loss, jitter
- Sapphire Sonar can be installed on a separate Linux PC or other Linux server available
Sapphire Remote Viewer is a HTTP browser-based reporting tool.
- Graphical data presentation and analysis
- Access from remote sites with no software installation needed for users
- Large amount of pre-defined KPI’s and data visualizations
- Capabilities include measurements from radio network, end-to-end connections, point-to-point
- connections from radio spectrum measurement to application level (like VoIP MOS) measurements
- SLA view offers easy to understand color coded view to network end-to-end operation
- Network bottleneck view identifies the lowest performing elements in the network
